Gwalior is a historical and major city in
Madhya Pradesh of India. Gwalior is especially known for it rich contribution
to the history of India. Strategic events and times; from Vedic ages to the
Indian Rebellion of 1857 to the British Raj, Gwalior has emerged as a prominent
place making it an important archaeological as well as historical site. The
rich heritage of art and culture and especially contribution of Gwalior to the
classical music is worth mentioning.
Jhansi is a historic city of northern India, located in the region of Bundelkhand on the banks of the Pahuj or Pushpavati River, in the extreme south of the state of Uttar Pradesh. In the 18th century the town of Jhansi served as the capital of a Maratha province and later the Princely State of Jhansi from 1804 till 1853 when the territory became a part of British India.
Orchha is a town was established by Maharaja Rudra Pratap Singh in 1501, as the seat of an eponymous former princely state of Madhya Pradesh, India. Rudra Pratap Singh, who became the first King of Orchha, (r. 1501-1531) and also built the Fort of Orchha. The Chaturbhuj Temple was built, during the reign of Emperor Akbar, by the Queen of Orchha Ganeshi Bai, while Raj Mandir was built by 'Madhukar Shah' during his reign, 1554 to 1591.
Khajuraho are a group of Hindu and Jain temples in Madhya Pradesh, India. In the temple architecture of India, the Khajuraho complex remains unique. Most Khajuraho temples were built between 950 and 1050 AD, during the Chandella dynasty. Historical records note that Khajuraho temple site had 85 temples by 12th century, spread over 20 square kilometers. Of these, only about 20 temples have survived, spread over 6 square kilometers. Of the various surviving temples, the Kandariya temple is decorated with a profusion of sculptures with intricate details, symbolism and expressiveness of ancient Indian art.

Upon your arrival at Gwalior, after reaching take food & start sightseeing at Gwalior & Gwalior Fort etc., Lunch at Gwalior, we drive down to Jhansi (app.100km), Sightseeing at Jhansi & Jhansi Fort etc., Evening dinner and overnight stay at Bundelkhand Riverside at Orchha.

After having Breakfast proceed for Fort visit. It is located on island of Betwa river and was prominent building in Orchha. Here almost all the monuments & buildings are associated with Bundela dynasty. Orchha fort is also known as Jehangir fort, is erected in honor of Mughal Emperor Jahangir when he was on visit of Bundelkhand region. Fort is setup using both Muslim & Hindu building architecture. Here emperor Jahangir stayed for single night. Later visit riverside cenotaphs of Bundela Kings & royal family members and temples like Ram Raja Temple, Laxminarayan Temple, Chaturbhuj Temple etc. In evening you may visit local temple to attend evening arti and attend evening light & sound show at fort. There are many heritage hotels in Orchha which were attractions in themselves. Here we can find both budget and luxury category accommodation facilities. Overnight at hotel in Orchha.

Begin the day with morning walk. Orchha is good for walk as it is less crowded and walking across the river gives you good feeling with fresh air. On crossing the Betwa river, we can visit Orchha wildlife sanctuary. You can enter into wildlife sanctuary and do nature photography and enjoy scenic view of Orchha cenotaphs across the wildlife sanctuary. It is the best view of Orchha. When water is sufficient, you can also do river rafting here. Later after breakfast, drive to Khajuraho. Belt from Orchha to Khajuraho is part of Bundelkhand region which is a dry region with less greenery and water sources with sandstone rocky region. On reaching Khajuraho, relax for sometime in hotel. In evening attend light & sound show and may do some shopping in local market. Khajuraho is a small town with both budget and luxury category accommodation facilities. After taking breakfast, visit Khajuraho temples sightseeing. These temples were built under the rule of Chandela dynasty in between 9th to 11th century. First visit Western group of temples and later visit Eastern group of temples. Here Western group of temples is large and well maintained. Here Hindu & Jain temples are present in which prominent ones are Kandariya Mahadev Temple, Laxmana Temple, Chitragupta Temple, Nandi Mandap, Varah Mandap, Vishvanath. Later drive to Khajuraho Airport or Jhansi railway station for departure. Temple.
