The temple is located on a hilltop near the beautiful blue hills of Nilagiri, an ideal tourist spot for many and is renowned for housing five shivalingas, immersed in a small flow of water. You need to ascend 263 stairs to reach the temple. Walk for 3 km from the temple site through a tribal village, to savor the spectacular sight of the Khumkut Dam. You could also locate a watchtower at the site. You can also visit Sajanagarh, the place of Budarachandi, which is also a popular archaeological site and trip to the Kuldiha Elephant Sanctuary and the Jagannath temple, Devikund, Bhitarkanika National Park & Chandipur situated nearby.
Upon your arrival at the
Blasore railway station, you are received and driven to Nivas/ Hotel at
Panchlingeswar. This place is close to the Panchlingeswar Hill.
After lunch we will visit
to Panchalingeswar Temple.
Tourists are primarily
attracted to the village of Panchalingeswar to visit the Panchalingeswar
Temple, which is the shrine of Lord Shiva. The temple is located on a hilltop
near the Nilagiri hills and is renowned for housing five shivalingas, immersed
in a small flow of water. You need to ascend 263
stairs to reach the temple. After visit this holy Temple we will go for
Panchalingeswar Watch Tower. Tiffin & lunch will be served at Nivas/ Hotel.
Overnight Stay at Panchalingeswar.
Today after having morning breakfast start visit
Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary. The hilly terrain and the deciduous forest support
the wide range of animal species that have made it their natural habitat. The
whole topography of the place provides ample scope for trekking and hiking.
Interestingly Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary is connected to Simlipal through
Sukhpada hills and Nato hills.
After visit Kuldiha Forest we will go to the
Devkund.
Devkund Water Fall a Beautiful Picnic Spot ,
which is a part of the Udala division of Similipal Forest Range can be visited
via Nilagiri from Panchlingeswar. This dense forest surrounded with hills. The
lake formed by a waterfall jumping from a height of 50ft to the Devkund. There
are four other falls too and each of them makes a Kund or lake so there are
five Kunds in total; and that explains the name—Pancha Kunda (Place of five
lakes). Climbing up more than 100 steps from Devkund, at the source of the
river, there is the temple of Devi Ambika Mata (Durga temple), which is worth
seeing. Pujas are still performed in the temple built by the kings of
Mayurbhanj in 1940. The chirping sound of known and unknown birds, the
multi-coloured butterflies add to the charm of Devkund.
The 3day morning, get ready to start proceed Bhitarkanika
National Park. Unesco World Heritage Site, Bhitarkanika is a Hot-spot of
Biodiversity. Its home to largetst population of salt water crocodile in India.
The land of lush green mangroves, migrating
birds and turtles, the menacing estuarine crocodiles, meandering water courses,
tranquil surrounding intercepted by the chirping of birds and the ever
embracing nature, entrails visitors from near and far off places to flock these
unique places of tourist importance.
Olive Ridley (Lepidochelys olivacea) is the most
common sea turtle in Indian waters. Large nesting sites are found in
Kendrapara, Odisha, the largest nesting site ever recorded is Gahirmatha
adjacent to Bhitarkanika.
After
Visit Bhitarkanika you are shifted to Chandipur. Night stay at Chandipur.
Early
morning we will visit to the Chandipur Sea Beach. Watching the sea vanish right
in front of your eyes and then observing its return is a very rare site. And to
add more to this hide and seek of water, the Casuarina trees and creeper sand
dunes seem to be swaying on a melodious musical note. This marvel of Nature
gives the bathers an unexpected pleasure of fearlessly walking into the sea and
happily playing with the waves. When the waters disappear, you can even take
jeep ride on, the widest beach. The beauty of the exposed bosom of the beach is
further enhanced by the small red crabs. If a beach comber, you will be delighted
with its abundant wealth of sea shells and drift wood.
One can
start the sightseeing tour right from the banks of the Buribalam - 4km from
Chandipur - where Jatin Chandra Mukherjee (popularly known as Bagha Jatin) was
shot twice during his encounter with the British force. But he swam across the
river and managed to escape to Barabati where a doctor along with six
attendants operated on Jatin to take out the bullets. After a while, Jatin
managed to reach the hideout at Chashakhanda village where the freedom fighters
used to store ammunition. Overnight stay at
Chandipur.
Early morning, assisted transfer to the Bhubaneswa Airport to catch a flight or Balasore Railway station for an onward journey..
